Sealed (with silicon eartips) and un-sealed (half-in-ear) are the most popular form of wireless earbuds, but another type is coming in, open earbuds that let your ear canal exposed so you can comfortably listen to the outside world while enjoy your tracks. These earbuds are equipped with dynamic driver or deliver sound by vibrations directly to the cochlea, in this post we only focus on the open wireless earbuds with dynamic driver (that push air to deliver sound to your ears). Because of open design these earbuds do lack some bass, but for calls and running outdoors they are great.

How we picked?
Sound quality and volume level
A few open earbuds let you adjust the driver positions - that's a good thing since how sound directs to your ear will impact the sound quality. Others have a fixed position for earpieces on ear. One sounds louder and more powerful than others (even the rest like Bose Sport Open Earbuds)
Fit & Comfort
Open earbuds can go over your ear (like earhooks) or fit with a ring around your ear canals, both ways are comfortable. But you may prefer one over the other.
Voice call quality
We prefer open earbuds for making calls, because we feel more nature. If you make call with a lot of background noise earbuds should be equipped with noise reduction technology.

The rings that blast sound

Fit securely, excellent voice call performance and impressive sound quality given its open design.

The best for sound

Bose comes up with an innovative products for sports, especially for bikers and runners. The Bose Sport Open Earbuds have ear-hook design that is quite comfortable and fit securely. The earbud sits on top of your ear and the music comes from the open area of the buds (also on top above the ear canal) - and it sounds good with bass kicked in.

The Cleer ARC raises the bar how much earbuds would weigh and you may feel a bit heavy or have loose-fitting. But once they fit in you will find them sound fun and enjoyable.

The clip-on

The ambie AM-TW01 look much like bone-conduction earpieces but they aren't. It accommodates 9mm dynamic driver and its sound isn't as loud as Bose Sport Open Earbuds, but the sound overall is clear and usable.
